Former Indian Football National Team Goal keeper and Currently Football Analyst for Star Sports Network in Bengali/Hindi.

Kalyan Chaubey has represented the Indian National Football team from 1994 – 2006 at various age groups which include U-17, U-20, U-23 and the Senior National Teams as a Goalkeeper. During this tenure he has also been a crucial part of Club Teams like Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Salgaocar FC, Mahindra United, JCT Phagwara and Mumbai FC. He represented National for Five different States like Bengal, Goa, Maharashtra, Punjab and Jharkhand.

A product of the Tata Football Academy from 1989 – 1995 and later played Indian top division football I-League 1995-2010. Kalyan has flourished as an individual and a player who has won the hearts of his fans and respect from his colleagues in the game.

Kalyan turned into a successful TV commentator/football analyst from the 2014 FIFA World Cup for Sony Network, I-League for Ten Action and Calcutta Football League (CFL) & Indian Super League (ISL) for Star Network.

As a footballer of National repute, Kalyan has been a part of various projects which have been initiated to develop the game and engage the youth of the country.

Chief Executive (CEO) – Mohun Bagan Youth Development 2010- 2013

Kalyan Chaubey was responsible for spearheading the 3 residential Football Academies at Jalpaiguri, Durgapur and Kalimpong along with the Football school in Kolkata. His role involved in co-ordination of the various centres with the parent club, monitoring the youth development programme, introduction of the best practices to groom prospective talents. Kalyan was successful as an administrator during his tenure of this project. Out of the 500 + children aged between 8-17, many discovered their love for the game and were able to take it to the next level and play for various clubs and the National Team.

Technical Director – Bajaj Allianz Youth Talent Hunt-2011-12 / 12-13

The Bajaj Allianz Youth Talent Hunt was aimed at identifying upcoming and promising talent in Football. Those selected would get an opportunity to train at the Bayern Munich Academy in Germany.

Kalyan was instrumental in developing the programme for the selection and training process for over 70,000 kids in the Under 15 age group across 37 cities in India.

– Co-ordinator for GOALZ Project- 2012

Kolkata Police and British Council developed the GOALZ project for the underprivileged children belonging to disturbed families and criminal backgrounds. Certain areas were identified by Kolkata Police, where this project was initiated. Kalyan played his part in bringing together the-connect with the game and to provide for a better future for these young minds.

Kalyan Chaubey has translated “SATCHARITRA” from English to Bengali in 2006, a 280-page book on the daily life of SAI BABA of SHIRDI, Miraculous Guru and Yogi who is regarded by his followers as an incarnation of GOD. Kalyan took 4 years for the translation of this Holy Book in his playing heydays.May SAI BABA bestow his blessings to all of us!

Kalyan Chaubey launched in 2011 a brand “Fabkleen” a fully mechanized laundry by “Kolkata Hygiene Care (P) Ltd”, which is now known as “Whytes Hygiene Care LLP”.
